Since silver is a soft metal, care must be taken while wearing it,esp if you wear it every day.Not only should you,at minimum, give it a wipe clean before putting it away into jewelry box or bag that has anti-tarnish paper in it.Even more important is that you are never supposed to wear it showering, washing dishes & always put them on after getting ready,as things like sprays, cologne, handcreams, sunscreen, etc all can damage (scratch or cause it to get a haze you can't wipe off)but the hardest of precious stones, plus the glues that holds many of the stones into certain settings, such as yours. For something as simple as this repair, most reputable jewellers will only charge you about $10 to reset your stone, about the same as the shipping charges I believe Dreamland charges for a return/resend...but I don't think that covers insurance, lol,so,IMO,if ever happens again, local might be way to go. Know your post was from April, but your post never mentioned you even trying CS,but assume issue must be resolved by now.Since i'm sure others have had same issue & would like to know what to expect, what did end up happening?
